For Peacock direct billing, open Account → Subscriptions and complete Cancel All Subscriptions. To keep the base plan and remove one add-on, select it and choose Remove Add-On. Use the actual store or provider for partner billing. Save each end date; add-ons with a different term can still bill until the base expires unless separately canceled.
Before you cancel Peacock
- Read the merchant name on your statement — that company owns the cancel path
- Peacock-billed: Account → Subscriptions → Cancel All Subscriptions (base plan plus add-ons)
- Third-party billed: cancel in that store or provider account; Peacock’s own cancel control will be missing or ineffective
- Xfinity-billed Peacock: unsubscribe on the Xfinity TV box path, or contact Xfinity if the box path is gone
Peacock looks like one app and behaves like several billing systems. Direct Peacock plans cancel on the website. App-store and Amazon plans cancel where you subscribed. Xfinity-bundled Peacock cancels through Xfinity. The reliable diagnostic is the bank or card statement: the merchant next to the Peacock charge is who must process the cancel.
Cancel Peacock: find who bills you
Before you cancel Peacock, match the charge to a biller.
Cancel Peacock when Peacock bills you
Sign in at peacocktv.com on a browser (account management is clearer on the web than in the app).
Open Account → Subscriptions and review Your Plan — the payment method line shows whether Peacock or a third party bills you.
Select Cancel All Subscriptions to end the base plan (Select, Premium, or Premium Plus) and any add-ons such as a regional sports network or Starz. Peacock’s help states that canceling the base plan also auto-cancels add-ons tied to it.
Confirm and wait for the confirmation email (Peacock notes it can take a few hours). Access continues through the current subscription term; the plan does not renew after that.
To remove only an add-on while keeping Peacock: on the Subscriptions tab, select the add-on → Remove Add-On → confirm. That leaves the base plan billing.
Cancel Peacock through a third-party biller
- Apple: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Peacock → Cancel — or use the iPhone subscriptions guide
- Google Play: Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Peacock → Cancel
- Amazon: Amazon Memberships and Subscriptions → Peacock → Cancel Subscription
- Roku: Roku account → Subscriptions → Peacock → Cancel
- Xfinity: on an X1 / Xumo Stream Box / Flex, open Peacock subscription management and choose Unsubscribe; if you no longer have that box path, contact Xfinity to stop the Peacock line on your bill
- Spectrum, Verizon, DIRECTV, and similar: cancel with that partner if the statement shows their merchant name — Peacock’s help lists these as third-party paths
What happens after you cancel
- Access runs to term end — canceling stops the next renewal; it does not usually cut streaming mid-cycle
- Free tier remains — after a paid plan ends, Peacock typically falls back to the free ad-supported experience rather than deleting the account
- No automatic refund of the current period — prepaid time is normally kept through the period end; disputed post-cancel renewals belong in the refund rules guide
- Switching billers: Peacock warns that activating a new third-party plan may require the old subscription to fully lapse first
What survives the cancellation
Subscription cancellation and a personal-information deletion request are different decisions. Peacock’s deletion help warns deletion can remove accounts or plans and affect other NBCUniversal services. Save payment and cancellation records before making that request.
Peacock’s paid-plan access help describes limited free content after Premium or Premium Plus ends. That does not guarantee the same catalog, profiles or viewing history indefinitely. Verify any remaining access without mistaking a working login for a paid renewal.
If changing billing sellers, Peacock says an existing subscription may have to lapse fully before a new third-party activation works. Save the old end date and follow the new seller’s linking instructions instead of opening overlapping accounts.
Still being charged after canceling Peacock?
- Earlier authorization or another product: match the receipt, authorization date and covered period. Access through the paid end date does not itself authorize another renewal.
- Wrong cancel channel — you canceled in the Peacock app while Apple/Google/Amazon/Xfinity still owns billing
- Add-on vs base confusion — an add-on remove is not the same as Cancel All Subscriptions
- Biller switch overlap — an old third-party plan is still active while a new one starts
- Wrong Peacock login — you canceled on an account that does not own the paid plan
Special cases
- Death of the account holder: stop the charge at the biller, then follow the executor cancel checklist
- Xfinity service changes: changing or disconnecting Xfinity packages can change how Peacock is billed or accessed — confirm the Peacock line on the Xfinity bill separately from Peacock.com
- Spectrum / Verizon / DIRECTV partners: cancel with that partner if the statement shows their merchant name
- Cannot log in: Peacock’s help notes chat cancel support when you cannot reach Account → Subscriptions
- Downgrade vs cancel: Peacock’s help treats paid-plan changes as no automatic refund of prior payments unless required by law
Different add-on dates can explain another payment
Review the base plan and each add-on separately in Subscriptions. Cancel All Subscriptions schedules the base and add-ons to end, while Remove Add-On addresses only the selected extra. Save what the final screen says for each.
Peacock’s terms warn that an add-on with a different billing date or term can continue billing until the base plan expires unless separately canceled. Do not promise that no further add-on payment can occur after submitting the base cancellation. If you want the earliest permitted add-on end, review that add-on’s own removal action and confirmed date.
Preserve payment history before switching
For direct billing, Peacock’s billing help identifies View Payment History in the account billing area. The account interface may label that area Plans & Payment or Subscriptions. Save the transaction, product and renewal record before changing sellers or requesting account deletion.
For store or provider billing, obtain payment history from that seller. Match its reference to the exact subscription. A provider’s included benefit and a separately paid direct plan can be different records; ask what remains when the provider package changes.
Compare the authorization and covered period with the original request before calling a later posting a failed cancellation. Ask the billing seller for an itemized decision and any approved refund’s amount and expected posting date.
Keep proof and handle special cases
For Peacock, save the base subscription and each add-on shown in Subscriptions, including their separate renewal or end dates. Keep the purchasing account and seller’s receipt with the completed cancellation. A screenshot of the app’s home screen is less useful than the screen showing what will renew and what has a confirmed end date.
When a Peacock payment remains after cancellation, match it to the base plan or add-on named in the receipt. Compare that item’s renewal date with the saved confirmation instead of assuming that ending one item ended the others. Ask the collecting seller to explain the charge and give a separate written decision on any refund request.
For a deceased Peacock subscriber, ask the actual billing seller for its authorized-representative process. List the base plan and add-ons separately and request confirmation for each item that must stop. Keep the required-document response and final dates in the estate cancellation checklist; ordinary access to the app does not establish authority to act.
Cancellation and billing follow-up template
Complete the cancellation in the correct account first. Copy this wording into the official support channel for missing confirmation or a disputed charge; sending a letter alone does not replace the account flow. Keep the case reference, and omit passwords, security codes and full payment-card details.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where is the direct cancellation control?
Open Account → Subscriptions, select Cancel All Subscriptions and finish confirmation. Save the on-screen result and the email when it arrives.
Can I remove just one add-on?
Yes. Select it on Subscriptions, choose Remove Add-On and confirm. Verify the remaining base plan and price.
Could an add-on bill again after the base request?
Yes. Peacock’s terms warn that a differently timed add-on can keep billing until the base expires unless separately canceled. Save the actual add-on end date.
Who provides third-party payment history?
The store or provider that collected the payment. Peacock directs third-party subscribers there for payment information.
Does a missing email prove cancellation failed?
No. Peacock notes email can take a few hours. Keep the final screen and ask support if its result is unclear.
Will paid-plan cancellation guarantee the same free catalog?
No. Limited free content is different from paid-plan access. Check what the account actually offers after expiry.
Does account deletion affect other services?
Peacock warns a deletion request can affect other NBCUniversal accounts or services. Save records and review those effects first.
Can a new partner plan always activate immediately?
No. Peacock says an existing subscription may need to lapse fully before a new third-party subscription activates. Follow that seller’s instructions.
